  • National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA): NEDA offers information and treatment options for those suffering from anorexia, bulimia and binge eating. Also for those with body image and weight issues.
  • Academy for Eating Disorders (AED): AED is a good source for research, treatment and prevention of eating disorders. The AED provides education, training and a forum where medical professionals and sufferers can talk through the issues.
  • Eating Disorders Coalition (EDC): This awareness groupĀ is working for federal recognition of eating disorders as a public health priority.
  • Binge Eating Disorder Association (BEDA): BEDA helps sufferers learn to manage the underlying issues that lead to compulsive overeating.
  • Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association (MEDA): MEDA is a nonprofit organization working towards the prevention and treatment of eating disorders. It’s a support network and resource for clients, loved ones, clinicians, educators and the general public.

  • The National Association for Males with Eating Disorders Inc. (NAMED): NAMED is geared specifically toward men with eating disorders and their families.
  • Men Get Eating Disorders Too: This site includes information that is specific to the needs of men, including definitions and symptoms, treatments, links, and support. Men with eating disorders can tell their stories on the site and participate in the online forums and live chats.
